World Map location selection

I've been looking for ages for a plugin that allows you to select an event by pressing the direction buttons, I think I came across one a while ago but i think it was for ACE. If anyone here knows of one that would be terrific for me to aquire it. Also I'm not sure if it can be done with unlockable events.

Is this basically what you're looking for? The post makes it seem like it's very complicated, I was able to set it up pretty easily by following the steps in the thread.

That I think is the one I was looking into before, but rather than having the player move on map to the location like this script shows (reminds me of super mario world)


I am curious to see a simple way of having the events quickly cycled through until a desired location is chosen.
