I'm uneasy about states that lower chances like blind. But you do have a point that it could come with a useful status effect. I'll think about what it should be. I'll definitely balance the Knight class around Taunting more.
Right now though, I'm curious about where people think I should take the series. The limited party members were inspired by FF1, but it can feel too limiting in a larger game.
I have two extremes I can take this, and I want to hear people's thoughts. I can go the FF6 route and have each class represented with a defining character, giving the option to switch between them freely but you'll only have one character for each class. The other option is to emulate Wizardry or Etrian Odyssey, and have a recruitment system where you can enlist as many party members as you want.
