What's the worst game ending that left you which such a cliffhanger you literately or almost dropped your controller and the game left you with your own conclusion to no resolve (were it could have EASILY had a sequel to follow it).

Kya Dark Lineage (PS2).
Kya and her brother found a magical book and this magical transported them to another world. You play as Kya and trying to locate this magical book to return to your own world.
You eventually find the book and try to use it to transport back to your own world.
The screen fades to a white blank background ,Ky and her brother are all alone and the camera pans out first person view from another creature which you can't see.
The creature charges Kya and her brother then the screen goes black and the ominous words "THE END?" appears then the credits roll.
This game never got a sequel because, according to Atari, the publisher, the game did not net enough sales. So a sequel was never made. Leaving the player what happened to Kya and her brother? We'll never know....
It went to Utah like in Revolution Season 2

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
