Would you play a game if you had to install a font that's lower than 100kb

The reason I ask this is because I'm using a script that allows you to change font mid-game, but it only works if I install the font, even though I'm placing the font in the correct folder. I'm trying to get help for it right now, but in case I can't, I'd like to know if I should just make installing the font a requirement, or if that would be a bad idea.

nope.  I wouldn't play a game that required me to install extra stuff.  If the game needs something, it should be included.

Me neither. But you can always wrap up everything on an installer executable when the game is ready so every file that needs to be out of the game's directory are automatically copied to it's designed locations.

Just as a side-note, there are font auto installers (they were popular in the RMXP times since XP doesn't have those Fonts folder shenanigans, back in my days...), and there is also a script from ForeverZer0 that loads fonts to the memory, and lets you use them kind of like Ace's vanilla Font folder does. It's for XP, though most of it are Win32API calls so it COULD work in VX/Ace too. No MV though since it's in Ruby.

I leave it here just for... educational reasons? Sharing information? Something like that. And just maybe it could help you xD.

Now the important question here is, why is the font not loading properly as any other font? Have you tried other fonts? Maybe even from the same font family? (like, you're using the bold version, so try the italic one instead, some fonts come separated in files by styles). I'm intrigued because I had as a given that any font would work the same, heheh...

He's posted a thread in Script Support to try and figure out why it's not working.  I have a suspicion, but would rather let people post who are familiar with the script.

I tested some more fonts. I don't want to make this a plugin support since it's not the right section, so I updated my support's original post, here's a link:

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
