Hello!

I've been working on a project for a while, and since I started I've always had the idea of the game breaking the 4th wall, something like undertale that remembers if a player finished the game once or already talked to an npc

the way undertale does this is by having an ini file that contains variables that remain even if the game is closed or the save files are reset

does anyone know how to replicate this in rpg maker mv?

thank you!

You'll need a plugin that lets you work with files. I had made something like it a while ago, but it really only provides plugins the access to read/write files synchronously or asynchronously, you'd still need a plugin that reads and parses the files.

To be honest it's been so long that I don't even know if my old plugin really works anymore, haha. I don't really think many people ended up using it, so I don't think there's been a lot of bug testing on it aside from what I did myself.

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
