I'm not sure if I can ask this here, but I have a question.

It's possible to continue UMS (Universal Message System script, XP)? Ccoa is kinda dead, and I don't know how to contact they. I was thinking of continuing it, crediting Ccoa of course.

Is that possible? Sorry if it's kinda a dumb question.

What exactly do you mean when you say "continuing it"?

Well you'd have to check the terms of the scripts if editing and posting your edits are allowed.

That's the problem, the script cannot be found anymore for some reason, but I have it because I downloaded it long time ago, but there's no info about terms of use.

If you want to use it for commercial then you need to find the terms of use.
Normally for non-commercial it will almost always be free to use.
I did a search and was able to download the original demo file, but no terms of use included.

The terms there say you cannot redistribute the script without permission, so unless you can contact ccoa, you are allowed to make your own changes, but not share them.

I sent they a PM, I hope they're still alive on save-point or general internet.
In case they won't reply, what should I do?

If you don't get a reply, then you have to accept the published terms of use. You can make your own changes, but you cannot redistribute.

So in case I want to use the script in a commercial game, I can't?

Free for noncommercial use with credit. Please contact me for licensing terms for commercial use.
It seems not, because further in that thread, there is a cost involved in a commercial license. Unless you can contact her, or find a statement from her waiving this requirement, you would only be able to use it in a free game.

This - using the script in a commercial game - is completely different to what you were asking about before, which was modifying and sharing the script.

You can modify, for your own use.
You can't share the script or your modified version of the script with others.
You can use the script in a free game.
You can only use the script in a commercial game if you purchase a license from ccoa. This means if you can't contact her, you can't use the script commercially.

Gotta love some gossip :D
Please do not buy games from g2a.com. The sellers have total power over you. The website has many scam sellers. It looks cheap, but the key code didn't work.
