I also can't get it to work through map notes. I set blend to both 0 and 0-normal and nothing happens.

In the map notes doesn't do anything.

Did you use the enter key to go down to the next line in the map notes, or did it wrap automatically? If you used the enter key, that would be why. I can't see any other reason that would cause it not to show.


Try it with JUST the name of the file and no other arguments, and see if that works. Then add each argument one at a time and see if there's a point where it stops working. If that happens, change the value of that argument to whatever the default is (so like 90 for hue) and see if it still happens.

Also, what other scripts do you have? If you have a script that overwrites Spriteset_Map's initialize or update methods rather than aliasing them (and I know there is at least one), this script would need to be below that one.

I tried every combination and I can't get it work. I also moved your script to the top and bottom of my materials scripts.

I think I noticed something. Your format showing for map notes is <fog name hue opacity blend_type zoom speed-x speed-y> , but in your script you have an additional seventh option for "fog color tone." I added a 0 for that too and it still doesn't work, though.

I use a skip title if no save file is present, Fomar's ATB gauge, Yanfly's animated battlers, Hime's Map Screenshot, Casper's light effects, and Yanfly's Adjust Limits script.

Do my files need to be .bmp or .png? They're .png.

tone is not a property you set in map notes.


You should try moving mine to the bottom of your custom scripts, not to the top. I bet you're using another script that overwrites a method and my version isn't being called. I know there's one script that does that.

I don't know. Try my multi-fog script instead. It might work better.

This one seems pretty similar to yours and does seem to work, but unfortunately doesn't offer map notes compatibility.

I really miss the native fog scrolling you could put in tilesets for XP. :(

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
