Script:

I'm trying to use Yami's pop message script in my game, and I encountered a distracting bug. Whenever there is a wait command before a message, then the message is broken into 2 lines, or sometimes into 2 different messages. Like in the picutre below.

Also I'd like to ask about the width command in the script. Whenever I enter a positive number, the game crashes with the following error message.

And if I enter a negative number, nothing happens.

Is it a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

The visual error is because Yami did not consider message codes when calculating the width of the message. This results in these message codes also counting towards the width of the text, even though they are not visible.

So, what you see is a text stripped of these message codes, but the code itself based the width of the text on the full string with the message codes, so on that first line, that "wait" message code is there according to the word-wrapper, which means that there is no place left for the "much...." text on that same line, hence the 2nd line.

You will have such issues with any other message codes as well (icons, color change, and so on).

The second thing you reported...

What is that line exactly? Can you post it?

And what width command? Do you mean the :limit_width setting in the script or something else? Can't see anything else related to width there, but that should not cause any trouble at all. Maybe you missed some commas in the settings area? Just guessing here, no idea what could cause that error.

Thanks, that explains a lot. As for the limit_width, yes, that is the line I'm talking about. But I think that is caused by a conflict with Yanfly's message script, which I'm also using, and also has a limit width function. If I set the width in Yanfly's script, it works.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
