Does anybody know if the doodads work on mobile deployment format?

Don't want to build using them if they don't work.

Yanfly's page says it does, but that you shouldn't use any of the hue-shifting functions on mobile because they're very inefficient.

The problems with almost any plugin on mobile is not the programming, but the capacity.
There are very few plugins that use functions that do not exist on a mobile.

What breaks most plugins is that they assume limitless hardware (or rather the capacities comparable to a desktop computer instead of a mobile device). It is rare to find a desktop with less than 8 GB RAM today, and desktops can use virtual memory to increase that. On comparison most mobiles have 2 or 4 GB RAM if you're lucky and wealthy.

Something like doodads is borderline because it depends on what you use it for (and hue mathematics are bad on any device as they have always required massive computing power compared to making a second picture with a different color).
So you have to keep in mind that using this plugin on mobile deployment can work, but it can also add too much to lag. And you won't even detect that until later in development because lag is additive and there are a lot of other things that add to lag as well.

You have to keep a very tight discipline on what not to add to a game to keep the mobile deployment option open.

Thanks. That lets me understand much better. No hues, Doodads will be kept at minimum for most part. I will rarely use them but just wanted to be sure they will show up if I decide to deploy mobile down the line

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
