I'm having some issues with Yanfly's Element Core plugin. I'm trying to get something to where it absorbs a certain kind of element, but for some reason, the creature takes 0 damage instead of absorbing the element or actually ends up taking damage depending on what Multi-Element Rule I have tagged to the item. But no matter what i try, the creature never actually absorbs the element. Even if i change the type of damage to fire type and remove the note tags.

any help trying to figure this out would be appreciated.

The fact that you're using the average of the rates in the weapon may be the problem.  The Element Core plugin states that if an element is set to absorb, the rate is reduced by 200% (which also means that you don't need the fire rate trait in the enemy).  In other words, the rate would become -100%.  But average means that the math would be -100% + 100%, then divide by 2.  So the result would be 0.  Change the average to something else and it should work.  I'd recommend multiply, since the program calculates 100% rate as 1.

Nope. That didn't do it. This time around the creature actually took damage from the weapon instead of absorbing it.

i ran a test with each kind of multiple element rule on the weapon with everything else exactly the same as in the pictures just to make sure and none of them resulted in the creature absorbing damage.

I'm beginning to think that maybe weapon aren't affected by the multiple elements note tag...

Edit: it is worth noting however that an enemy with a fire rate of 0% will absorb nothing and take no damage from fire attacks while an enemy with a rate of 1% will absorb a ton of damage. however, it does not solve my current problem.

I dont know if you have solved this problem, but I had the same issues. I had to check it the hard way of going threw all my plugins and find the one causing yhe trouble.

I found out in my caze it was the Damagecore plugin. I had to reinstall the plugin, after that it all worked fine.

I thought it might have been because i modifyed the damage step 52 because of an earlier release of a tip and tricks for the runic blade.

now i am using the later release of the runic blade tip and it all works like a sunshine both the element core absorbion and the Runic Blade.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
