Yanfly Instant Cast + Common Event issue

I'm trying to make a boss battle that grants the player a skill for the duration of the battle that they may use as many times as they wish for free. The skill itself triggers a common event that contains a series of text boxes and a pseudo-shop made of events. The skill uses Yanfly's Instant Cast script, and the script works wonderfully... until the common event ends.

You see, when using the skill, the event triggers 100% as intended, but the very second it ends, the battle hud is just... gone... It vanishes until the next turn, that battle HUD does. It appears that Yanfly never expected a common event to be used with the Instant Cast script, and now I'm stuck until I can find a solution. The was amazing up until this bug crashed the party, so I hope somebody can help me out with getting the HUD to reappear.

What are you using to make the battle hud?
It's the default one; sorry I didn't mention that, I thought the screenshot would cover that, but in hindsight I can see how that may not have been clear

Probably because it looks like an actor command window. Which goes away when the battle turn starts.
The thing is, it's NOT SUPPOSED to vanish, because when using the Instant Cast script, the skills you set as instants are used on the spot, without the turn starting, the actor using an action, or any of the HUD going away. The issue I'm having is that BECAUSE the script doesn't make any of the HUD go away, when a text box makes it temporarily vanish... nothing is there to bring it back.

What default one. I don't know any script that will give a purple background on black with the word shop in it.
The purple background is a custom asset, the black is the battle background, and the word shop is the custom battle command script, completely unrelated to the issue. The bug occurs with and without the script.

Your right. with instant cast it should stay on the screen. I'll test it in my demo.

Shockingly, the solution was simple. I had a friend toss this suggestion out. I just make the actor use another instant skill at the end of the common event. For those who are like me, and having multiple actors using the same skill, use this script to get the user's id in the common event for the final force action that brings the hud back up.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
