Original Plugin link - I see that others make Yanfly extensions all the time, so I thought I'd try my hand at requesting one. :)

I need a plugin that has all of the bells and whistles of Item Synthesis, but with the addition of multiple disciplines (and categories) that are added through an array in the plugin parameters. Item Synthesis has the quality of life that works best for my project to make crafting intuitive for the user. This includes:
  • Item description is visible
  • Full support of "max items" (cannot craft over max items)
  • Total items vs max items are written next to the item to be crafted (ex - Potion: 2/5)
  • Items already at max are grayed out
  • When crafting multiple of one item, using the arrow keys to increase the # does not surpass max items allowed
There have been a few plugins I've tried.

Mr. Trivel's - Didn't have support for max items, so that was right out

YR Crafting - This one I am using now, developed by Waterguy. He was super kind and patient enough to fix a few issues for me such as adding support for max items, but there's still a lot the user needs for my game in particular that I feel bad asking him to make further changes - although I did end up asking actually (lol!) and he mentioned that he could, but it might take some time. That is why I am coming to the community for some help, so everyone wins! This plugin was lacking:
  • Item description
  • Text indication of current & max items
  • Stopping numbers from advancing past max items when crafting multiple
So ideally, the plugin would be a combination of Yanfly's Item Synthesis with the Disciplines & Categories from YR (and Mr. T).

Thanks so much for your help :)

Edit: Exp and levels per discipline aren't necessary for my needs, but if you want to add that in so the plugin can be more universal, I won't stop you :)

I'm not very good at coding, but oddly enough I have edited Yanfly's synthesis to do pretty much what you're asking... sadly its an older version and I really don't want to attempt it again for a more up-to-date one, lol. I managed to add in professions and Item multipliers (that can change based on a professions level).

I even found a unique way for weapon and armor crafting that gives a 20% chance per level to give another piece of gear when made, capping at +200% so when crafting you would get 3 of the same item (with different prefix/suffix/stat variance each) from a single crafting... which works very well with how I added in DreamX's item prefix/suffix and getting the "ideal" item can take many craftings sometimes.

My professions are all controlled by variables (1 per profession), and don't gain exp, but you gain levels from being trained by that professions NPC or finding books that teach advanced techniques, so my solutions probably wouldn't even be an interest to you if those are things you dislike or really want the actually exp/leveling from Mr. Trivel's plugin.

While my post may not be a big help to you, I just wanted to say the idea for what you want is a great combo and it doable easily (esp if someone like me can make it work, lol)

@Ahuramazda Thanks for the response!! I was surprised I couldn't find an extension like this for Item Synthesis out there currently, I feel like it's something a lot of people would request :)

I'm actually not using EXP at all - it's not necessary for my game. Instead I just provide recipes as the story requires them, or as random drops, or found treasure. Blocking recipes by level feels arbitrary when the ingredients that only drop in certain areas, or from certain monsters, do the same thing.

I appreciate your thoughts even if you're not confident about sharing! I'll update my post that I'm not concerned about EXP so there's no misunderstanding :)

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
