Hello! I'm using RMRK's Quest Journal script as well as Yanfly's Menu script, and I'm trying to add the Quest call to the menu. I added a :quest command to the "Commands," but I'm having a hard time finding the handler method for the Quest Journal script so I can add it to the "Custom_Commands" bit. Does anyone happen to know or be able to find it for me ? Thank you!
Okie dokie, I have experience with Modern Algebra's Quest Log Script, so I had to fiddle with that Yanfly's script, but I got it working. Actually, I got it working two ways. Anywho, the first step is to add in this bit of script:
You can leave the "GreyStone84" out. I only added that so I could quickly search for my name in all the scripting and find the stuff I adjusted or added incase something messed up.
This bit of script you will past in the Script heading "Scene_Menu" and I placed it around line 82. Between "Load" and "Exit Game".
The second step was in Yanfly's Script. I added this line of script:
:quest, # Launches Modern Algebra's QUEST LOG - GS84
I put this at line 111 under "COMMANDS" header and below ":formation". Again, you don't need the GS84 in the script.
Yanfly's script states that the COMMANDS list determines the placement of menu commands, but I didn't notice a difference of where I put the ":quest" line, in the game it placed the Quest between Status and Formation.
That alone should get everything working. Now in game, you won't be able to select the "Quest" menu command until the first time a quest is received. The Quest Log script will have details on how to activate quests in game.
so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most.
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
