Hey there! Message Core is an incredible plugin and pretty much a must have for every single one of my projects. Since we can use different resolutions now, I've been playing around with different font sizes. I like to make my text a bit larger so it's easier to read at 1080p, but I noticed a bit of a graphical issue. Whenever I make the font size larger, it seems to cut off portions of the text in the name box. It's mainly visible on descender letters (letters that go under the line like lowercase 'g' and 'y').

I've tried messing with the Y buffer (but that only seems to effect the Y position of the entire box) and the padding (but that only seems to adjust the padding in the X direction). Are there any ways to change the vertical size of the text box so that this clipping doesn't occur?

So far my only solution is to shrink the name text in the 'Name Box Added Text' section, but that's not ideal since it'd be nice for the names to appear at the bigger size like the rest of the text.

Hmm, any word on this? With the higher resolution, I've grown really attached to increasing my text size to improve readability. Having the names so tiny really clashes with the larger text though, so it'd be great if there was a way to avoid the clipping. Anyone else discover any cool workarounds for this? No matter what I try, I just can't seem to figure out a way to change the vertical name box size.

im also having this issue after making my font larger, but not only is it happening in the name box but also on the menu's. i would like to know how to adjust the y position of the text to move it up slightly, i think this would fix it ? there doesn't seem to be an option in the message core to do this though

RMMV
Sorry to necropost but as this hasn't been solved, I found the line of code you need to alter in case others come looking.

Window_NameBox.prototype.windowHeight = function() {
return this.fittingHeight(1);

You can use decimals to completely perfect it and make it look centered.

EX:

Window_NameBox.prototype.windowHeight = function() {
return this.fittingHeight(1.5);

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
