yanfly message plugin not auto running need help.

I'm using yanfly message plugin yes I have the core plugin on also but I can't get the messages to auto run for some reason can I get some

insight on this ?

Dont forget too, the Plugin names must match whats in the code for YEP_MessageCore
I renamed mine based on the order (for ease of use) and couldnt figure why it would work, lol.
I probably could have altered the code to match my name....but nah

Messages only "autorun" if you have them in an Autorun event.  That's got nothing to do with the plugin.

forgot i posted but when i  have the plugin  activated  messages wont auto run events i checked by turning it off and then trying and messages auto run but when yanfly message core is active its

no dice.

i dont get why i have to be super specific how else will i set up a message without an event.

We don't understand your error description or your problem, that is why we need you to tell us what your problem is.


Please post a screenshot from one of the events that doesn't work as it should, and tell us what it doesn't do.

I didn't say without an event. I said messages being displayed automatically has nothing to do with plugins - your thread title and first post seem to indicate that it's got something to do with the plugin, and I want to be sure that it does, before I move it to that forum.


A screenshot of your event (full event window) showing how you have the event set up and how you are using the plugin, will help us determine first, if it IS related to the plugin, and second, what the problem actually is. When it comes to events not doing what you expect them to do, it isn't often that we can solve it without actually seeing the event for ourselves.

Well here are the screenshots Didn't know about the double post thing can someone tell me where I'm going wrong ? 

edit : when i turn the plugin off and set up a basic message it then works and the third screenshot is something I just now encountered.

Do you have the latest version of the plugin? Yanfly has provided numerous updates to fix bugs.

edit:  I re downloaded all her engines over and it worked so maybe i was little out of date thanks for the tips im not sure which one was out of date tho.
