Is it possible to have the item to be shown in \ii[x] be a variable?
 

example:

\ii[x}
x=variable#3

I am drying to to a random of 100 differnt items so it would save a lot of if statements, if it is possible.

can you try

\ii[\v[3]]

?

i don't know it will work or not. if i remember correctly the \v[3] will converted first to variable 3 value then the \ii will converted again after that.

hope this help.
