Alright, so I downloaded Yanfly's EventLabel So people know where things are on the map. I've followed directions to the letter,
but the text isn't showing up over the events. So, the question is, what am I doing wrong? Screenshots provided.

Oh yes, and once again, I apologize in advance to any mods if I placed this question in the wrong place.

It might be a multitude of things, there could be conflicts with other plug ins, it could be placed in spot in your list of plug ins that keeps it from functioning properly.
Also, there is a comment that can modify how far away or how close you need to be in order to see the text pop ups. I sent some stuff in pm's that might help.

Not sure if this is a big deal, but in the example there's a space before the text you want to appear is put.
In the comment you put in the event there is no space.
EX:
<Mini Label:text> (no space)
<Mini Label: text> (space)
So yeah, maybe not the problem, but why not check it if it fixes anything? :kaoswt2:

Problems with plugins never go in vanilla MV Support.

Just tested this,
What SmashArtist said appears to be the case

Code:
<Mini Label:\C[1]Crestfallen> //doesnt work
<Mini Label: \C[1]Crestfallen> //works
I believe this is just a Regular Expression thing, Yanfly's code just expects to see a Space or a normal character, but when you use "escape" characters like "\C" and "\n" the expression might treat as a Non-Match. thus it just stops working because it can't find matching comment tag. Leaving the space makes it more readable and prevents this issue with other things too.

Ah ok.

Edit: Ok. That's what it was. It's always some syntax like a space or lack of a space that messes it up. So thanks, everyone.

You should all know that I made the Mini labels toggle on and off too, using Yanfly's button Common events, a Switch and a simple end event command.
