Hello everyone !

I have been asking a lot of questions recently and I am very happy that the community here helped me well and fast. There are very nice people around here !
In fact, I have been confronted to a lot of issues since I began to work again on my game's gameplay.

And now, some other questions !
Thank you if you're still reading !

(Some indications : I am using Yanfly's plugins. If you know a non-yanfly plugin that can help me, it has to be compatible with them, please.
I am using the Yanfly's CTB System !!)

My first question is about states.
I want to create skills in my game that buff or debuff allies, but that can be removed with a spell like cura, for example.
That's why I don't want to use the buff/debuff mechanic in rpg maker because you can't remove them with a spell.

So, I want a state that gives a bonus (like 200% in defense), and that can be given several times on the same ally, until the turns count come down. Giving several times this state on an ally would apply several times the bonus effect.

Is that even possible ?

And if that is not possible, there is the second question.

How do you change the icon that appears on buffs and debuffs with the buffs and states core plugin from Yanfly ?
Because I have some weird icons when I apply a buff on an ally...

That's all ! Hope that you've understood me, and thank you for reading !

That's actually pretty easily done with the default states/skills.
You'd need to setup a state with the increased param rates in the database.
Then you'd have to create a skill that adds the state.
Another skill would remove the state.
All of this can be done by the default maker functions without the use of any plugins. (Mind, that States are not Buffs/Debuffs although they can have the same effect.)

What do you mean by strange? Can you post a screenshot?
Normally the debuffs use specific icons from the iconset. Did you change that file or replace any icons?

I'm sure Yanfly has some tutorial on how to do this. Maybe this video will help you. It's about stacking DoT effects but maybe it'll give you a hint. Click me!

Yanfly has a whole playlist of YouTube videos with helpful tips'n'tricks for his plugins.

@Gonor for the first quote in fact I just said that I prefer using states rather than buffs and debuffs for bonus and malus rates, because I can remove them but the buffs/debuffs, not. But thank you !

I will look at Yanfly's DOT stacking video, maybe that will help me out ! Thank you !

Ah, okay. Thought you were unsure about how to do that. I thought it was part of the question. Sorry. :eswt:

Don't say sorry it's not bad at all, I think I was a bit misunderstandable with that sentence ^^

So I've seen the Yanfly's video, and it's great but that's not really what I want in fact.

You know, I would loke something exactly like stacks on buffs and debuffs, but for states.
I can do without that functionnality, but it would be awesome to have that too !

I'm not sure about the rest - but curious about this "remove debuff <>" is an effect in the skills options, so why can't you add one to your cura spell?

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
