Hey everyone. I was wonder if I could get a little help on this. I'm using Yanfly's Ace Battle Engine & Tankentai's Journey Battle System. The two scripts obviously conflict with each other and I want to use both in a project so I can use Yanfly's Lunatic packages. Every time a battle starts, this pops up:

I was wonder if there is a way to stop the battle portion from reading in Yanfly's script and just use the Journey Battle System.

Holala...you ask something really hard to do you know? it is two different battle system with their own option~ for that you need to fix a lot of things

but can you be more specific of what kind of script you use ? normally I can use both of them just the problem it is the animation show twice~

Without knowing those scripts I can only give you general advice - but if you want to learn to understand scripting (and coding in general), this is a great opportunity for you.

Start at line 4804. What is trying to update? When is an instance of that class created? Why is it trying to update there?

Now start at the beginning of the battle logic and trace down until you get to line 4804. Do you see a place where that instance could be created sooner? or could the call at line 4804 be shifted someplace else? Do you need that instance at all? (are the two systems trying to do the same thing and tripping over each other in the process?)

The default battle system is tough enough to figure out, but isn't too bad once you figure out the battle 'loop' and which classes do what. Adding scripts that alias methods alongside that makes the job harder (one of the reasons I overwrite instead of alias). Having two side by side scripts makes it much more than twice as hard. That's another place to look - do the two scripts alias the same methods (specifically, the method at 4804)?.

No, I know how difficult it is. Just wondering if I was overlooking anything and there might be a simple work around.

Use one or the other. That would be a lot easier. Why do you need YEA and Journey both? Maybe you should ask yourself that and what you are trying to achive.

(bet you are trying to do a Battle Dungeons!! battle system?) It took a long time to do btw.

or just ask somebody to remove dependence of Lunatic to the battle engine of YEA... AFAIK, most of those things doesn't even need the battle engine anyways

I just looked at it and saw it didn't I feel really dumb right now. XD Haven't slept well in the last couple of weeks and it's finally getting to me. We can close this thread and hang it on my wall of embarrassment.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
