Well, after reading the documents and searching the web... I gave up and decided to ask in the forums.

I saw the big potential in that plugin to make fantastic scripted battles, like zooming in to the allies when discusing between themselves, or to the enemy... well, you can imagine. It's adds some dinamism. And not only #3, #1 and #2 too! But I have no idea how I could "call" (is that even the right word?) the plugin in the events.

The way I do it is by having battle triggers in the troop set up. When something happens like the enemy has half health, it forces a character to do an action and I use that action as the call for the event sequence I want to do. Is that what you're looking for?

Mmmm... like, having a "skill" set when Enemy<50% HP, using the commands in the Skill note tag to orchestrate the event? Mmmm... but how about at the start of the battle? I was thinking in a more direct aproach, directly from the battle events. But, being still new with MV, I can't think in a solution yet =/

You could do what @brendonx said. Just set the condition to be Turn 0 so that it will be run at the start of the battle. Make it force a dummy skill where you have your action sequence.

I tried brendonx method. First I created a new sequence for a tech (1 hour of work. That's the life of the newbie), and then, just for the heck of it, tried elaborate a way to call and script action to show a message before the attack (like "Here I come!"). The theory was: If I could do that simple thing, maybe the brendonx's method wouldn't be that complicated.

I failed miserably and ragequitted the maker ¬¬ the animation was great but the message didn't even bother to show up.

The easiest way to get text to appear is by using the note tag that calls a common event and in the common event put what ever you want to say there. I can't remember the note tag for it but it's in the video by yanfly about the plugin.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
