I'm not sure if this goes in the Javascript plugin support forums or here, but I was curious if it was possible for me to do a certain idea for certain characters in my game.

One of the character traits I listed for my main character Alto (my Bard) is, "Decent farmer, bad cook, worse alchemist" And I was wondering... since I have the Item Synthesis plugin from Yanfly, is it possible for me to actually show that off in-game and not have it just be flavor text in his profile? Like, if Alto uses the Synthesis feature, he creates a crappy Healing Potion for example that either does jack diddly or blows up in his face (does damage to him?), but if, say Aria (my Priestess) or Minuet (my Mage) uses the feature, they do it fine?

RMMV
Please be more specific in your title and questions - "certain things" is extremely vague.

And what you want to know is very specific - if the Plugin from yanfly can have different results based on actor selection.

Please add a link to the plugin, no one can help you without knowing how that plugin works

I've moved this thread to Plugin Support. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

When you edit your post to include the link, please also change the title - you'll get faster responses if the users can read what you want in the title.

I think you could possibly do something like this by:

- creating each possible item you want to use

- setting an assigned variable equal to a number based on a "skill level" for that character's certain skill. For example, Variable 0007 could be Actor1 Alchemy Level.

- having a conditional branch based on whichever Actor's Variable needs to be chosen.

So, for example, let's say Actor1 has a skill level of 5 for Alchemy. You create a Variable that you set equal to 5. Then, you make a common event where you have:

- Text: Who will perform Alchemy?

- Show Choices: Actor1, Actor2, etc.

-  - If Actor1, Set Variable 0010 "Alchemy Level Check" = Variable 0007 "Actor1 Alchemy Level"

-  - If Actor2, Set Variable 0010 "Alchemy Level Check" = Variable 0008 "Actor2 Alchemy Level"

- Conditional Branch: If Variable 0010 "Alchemy Level Check" = "1"

-  - Change Items "Crap Potion +1"

- Conditional Branch: If Variable 0010 "Alchemy Level Check" = "5"

-  - Change Items "Awesome Potion +1"

Hopefully that helps!

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
