Hey, everyone! Got another problem here that's been plaguing me from Day One. When I started using YEA's Ace Core Engine and Battle Engine scripts, I noticed a strange symbol that appears at the end of buffs and debuffs:

It was actually "[]{", but I managed to remove the {. Now I'm trying to remove the damn []. After some searching, I found a thread on rpgmakervxace.net regarding this problem, and reply was to use Lone Wolf's Custom Font Junk Symbol fix, but, as I understand it, that works for custom fonts, which, I don't think, I'm using here. Another was Archeia's Tips and Tricks thread that said to change a line in Game_System. Did that too, nothing changed.

I'm hoping someone who uses Ace Core and Battle Engine (I think the problem might be Battle Engine itself, not sure) can help me out here.

I use both those scripts and don't have this problem.  What font are you specifying for your text?

That means some of the text added is not found on your font... You should find another font... I found some fixes on the net, but it can't fix it completely based on my experience... though you can still try that script by lone wolf... I think it was named custom font blahblah because this problem is only there if ur not using the default font which is VL Gothic

PS: Btw, you might wanna place your actors a bit lower so that they are not touching the wall or the pillars...

Go into the actual script, and there should be a line for buffs and debuffs that has a "%s" command or something like that. Simply delete it and type it in again.

To be honest, I haven't changed a single font within the script, that's where my confusion is coming from.

These are the current defaults:     DEFAULT = ["VL Gothic", "Verdana", "Arial", "Courier"]

I actually have Lone Wolf's script, and that didn't fix it. Which is another reason I'm confused. Also, I know I need to lower them, I had the resolution settings at default when I gave a friend a demo of what I had so far. xD Since it's not much of a problem right now, I'll save that little bit for later~

Hm. I'll give this a shot. Delete "%s" then type it in again?

[Edit] Oooh! That worked, Arin! Thank you!

I think you will find that those fonts are not present in your game.  Make a new folder called Fonts (not surprisingly) put those fonts inside it, problem solved.  No need to delete anything in the script, or mess around with fancy solutions.  That's what I did.

Which script are you referring to? The Ace Core Engine or the Ace Battle Engine?

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
