It's not failed, because you're lazy >.>

Anyway, full screen isn't Alt+Enter anymore, but F4 (toggle between full screen and window) and F3 (changing screensize when in fullscreen).

Plugins were either in your mail (if you ordered through this site) or in your Steam dlc folder (if you bought from Steam).
Nobody is going to know this, why change what every other application and every previous version has had?

The program is not usable?
No it has a broken UI and won't activate if you have Windows 10

Think about your statement. A program you pay $80 for. Needs community support to be viable and usable. No. Unacceptable!
I REALLY hope you're just trolling for the sake of a joke. You remind me of that self-entitled customer that expects the world but doesn't want to do anything to help themselves.

Bottom line, I think this is really disrespectful to the community in so many ways. We're all entitled to our opinion, but I think you should chill a bit.

If you are upset at these minor issues, which are easily remedied in the Java language, even easier to edit with RPG Maker, and even MORE easier to edit with plugins, I hate to see what you have to complain about 30 more minutes into your project.

UI isn't broken persay, but I agree it's not perfect. But others seem to like it as it is (either they can't see that it is blurry, and/or they like it super large).

But we can't really worry about such nominal changes such as which hotkeys do what. The function is still there. It works. Many programs change keys around between releases. No point in making a scene about it. I would adapt and move on.

Not Java, Javascript. Which is different.

Secondly, no plugins can't change the editor.

I am so sorry I said something negative about your beloved, but I am simply pointing out flaws. Do you want no fixes... ever? Do you want things to remain broken? Do you never want a single update ever no matter what? So this is why I bring these up. People need to calm down a bit, it has massive bugs and word wrapping should NOT be a script, it should be in the UI by default turned on. When do you ever show text off screen? When has this ever been acceptable? Why change UI hot keys that everyone expects at this point? "Hit F4, you know the close button to go full screen." Wtf? Who thought this was a good idea?

I will agree this release seems to have more bugs than should have ever made it out the door (memory leaks, for one), and word wrap would be nice without a script, but do keep in mind that what they released is what the Japanese community finds important, and over there, the Japanese audience(apparently) don't care about full screen, word wrap, or resolution as much as we do here. So, hence the need for plug-ins, so it is closer to what the Western crowd wants.

It has already been stated that a lot of things will remain plugins for reasons. There is a difference in culture, there is also the need to keep the core tool simple. So don't expect things users make as plugins to go into MV.

At first I was confused why we need a plugin for the resolution change...but since they don't provide battlebacks for anything other than the standard resolution it kind of makes some sense...When you think about any of the other plugins it starts to add up to a lot of work for a small company.

The fullscreen button isn't a big deal. Backaway from the dead horse.

Who thought doing some research first before buying something was a great idea? Who thought that creating a game is a lot of work?

For an $80 program I shouldn't have to search for these, they should be defaults, addressed and done, pointed out to the user. Any normal user is going to take one look at this and pass it by. VX Ace was so amazing. I press alt enter and nothing happens in game. I try to use the plugins and there are no plugins that you speak of. Simply put, failed release.
Lol you really don't think that do you, while you do have a point with the script editor, they should really have that built into MV, not require using a outside program to create such, you're being completely unrealistic in thinking for 80 bucks, it should be more or less completely hands off, able to do anything under the sun, without the need for community support

No one cares that you said something negative about MV, it's that your statements are complaining about problems that are solved with plugins. There is in fact a bug report thread, with actual bugs. Guess what? No one is angry with the people posting bugs in there as we do want those fixed. Complaining you can't change the resolution when it takes literally a few mouse clicks to do so (this includes the mouse clicks required to import the plugin), is complaining just to complain.

I will stop you saying I feel you are just lazy right now don't expect just because you paid for 80 we will do all the job for you

it's not window 10 bug it's your graphics card who are outdated and not works properly it's not the fault of the engine but your computer fault

and honestly it's make me sick to see how much we worked hard and you dare to come and complain saying it's crap or outdated

do you understand how much all these people at degica worked hard for make this engine far more better thant it's was before!?

honestly you are such a ingrat person to complain like a child

stop being childish and just learn how the engine works

That point is debatable.

- should they force you to use a built-in script editor, or

- should they allow you to use your own script editor, or

- both?

Having a built-in script editor would be nice, but I likely won't use it unless it was full-featured.

There are plenty of full-featured IDE's out there for Javascript. I wouldn't blame them for not wanting to bother re-inventing the wheel.

You will need to cite your sources. I find the advertisting accurate. It never said you didn't have to read or plan or do research.

You can make games without programming. Even a child could assuming they are old enough to read and play Jrpgs. (JRPG experience not completely required, but I think it helps tons)

Message system still can't word wrap (this should have been the first thing to be worked on) A line does not a word wrap make! You people obviously knew there was an issue so you put a line, have it word wrap at the line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even Notepad for Windows has wordwrapping support

- plugins.  Based on your other post I saw, don't be lazy

No full screen support

- Check the manual

no widescreen resolutions on PC or Mac

- plugins

no in game script editor so now we are even more locked out of our games

- Check your project folder.  Core js files are in there and the manual has everything you need

no html 5 deployment option to be found

- As someone stated, it's HTML5 the moment you make the project.  Check the manual

No support for anything other than Chibi style sprites or resources.

- It's what Japan is in to.  Others on our side of the world can fix that with resource requests/release

DRM is bad and gives me issues in Windows 10, it simply won't activate on Windows 10, it just keeps spitting me back to the same screen when I try.

- Contact support

blurry user interface (what gives?) Why is it so blurry? It is giving me a headache!

- It's not blurry.  You're just used to crisp text from the other releases.  This uses QT which is needed for what it deploys to
Try actually looking around before spouting off.  I'll admit there are things lacking from MV that I kinda miss from Ace, but they are minor things like the Resource Manager.  I never used it.  Why?  I've always copied resources from one folder to another to avoid any breaking of transparencies for graphics and because I have far more control over my resources.  Point being, it's a good release and all these things, sans the last one which I'm going to assume is a graphics error on par with Windows 10 and your video card, can be solved by looking around the forums, looking in the manual and looking into the projects folder AND installation folder of MV.  Took me 5 mins and I already knew everything on your list when I started up MV and started looking around.

To me the argument is the same as that they should include an image editor. These are expensive to develop, and there are already free and commercial versions available with far more features than EB would have time to implement in any version they could include.

Next thing you know people will be complaining there isnt a high level Sound and Music creator in the software. This guy sounds like he wants a perfect GUI user friendly layout, all the work done, endless plugins on release, a copy of Photoshop, a copy of Fruityloops, and the best Javascript friendly editor money can buy.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
