One full time artist, three part time artists, one part time scripter

When will you release a demo?
Hopefully within 3-6 months and we hope the demo will be approximately 1 - 2 hours to finish.

At the moment we have our sights set on PC/Desktop only. Anything else will be funding dependent + any technical constraints.

Full steam ahead for a demo.

Here's some concepts we were working on a few weeks ago before going to color and polish :)

Would love to put together a digital art book towards completion

Here comes our battle camera...

We added an initial zoom at battle start & slight motion to the left and right throughout the fight - (compatibility with Yanfly cam zoom)
Worked to smooth out the motion on the X axis motions too.

This plugin comes courtesy of the magnificent Luca @Gamefall Team :)

We've been working on the first boss character (The Brood Mother -- a spider demon from Yomi No Kuni) and Sagami Town, a small village on the outskirts of a Shinto Temple.

It's been a long journey to reach this point. With the first iteration of the game "Path of a Samurai" taking around 2 years of development time. We learnt so much about game making & from all the invaluable feedback we received from the RPGM community on the project. You helped shape the next iteration - you guys know who you are and your names will be in the credits for Yomi at release.

but... sometimes, the way forward is also the way back.

We stripped out what we didn't like about Path Of a Samurai and built upon what we did like! (keeping some elements of content).

The aim was two-fold, to improve on everything we wanted in an RPG & to see what we could really achieve with the RPGM engine (whilst trying to balance performance constraints of RPGM, it's challenging but I hope we can achieve it!)

I have a feeling your email is going to be blowing up with job offers from major studios when they catch wind of this. Just incredible. Not my genre particularly, but will certainly be a customer just to reward your effort

Absolutely.
Hey - maybe during fights, instead of allowing the player to "escape," you have an option for them to commit seppuku? Is that a terrible suggestion?

It might be a little strange if the character kills itself, the outcome for an “escape” is different because they survive the battle when that skill type is used.

Right - but if you try to escape, you have brought dishonor to your family and therefore must kill yourself!

After 2 years of writing, planning and outlining I finally finished the first draft of my first book in its entirety! I'll admit I got a little lazy with some of the word and description on those last 10 pages but that what 2and and 3rd drafts are forrrr, now after 20 hours of no sleep imma nap for 2 hours before my kid wakes me up to try and play.

Considering a side project of making a Choose Your Own Adventure in MV but letting people play it as YouTube videos with the choices at the end leading to other videos. Thoughts?
I've made a rudimentary prototype map for the first game with the MV RTP overworld tiling. I'm probably going to photoshop the crap out of it for parallax, but the prototype has given me new ideas about how I want to place dungeons in the game.
