SECTION A: SYNOPSIS
Young Bloods is an RPG based on a roleplay of the same name on NationStates, set in a world inspired by superhero comics and shows such as Teen Titans, Young Justice and My Hero Academia. The player takes control of the Young Bloods, a fresh team of teenage superheroes operating in the city of San Diego and trying to fix all that is wrong and set right what needs to be right, and guides them through the struggles which unfold before them.
I've been working on and off on this game for somewhere around a year, with breaks of several months in between, and started out from a complete zero, slowly improving with each hour spent. Took me a while to learn that stuff like scripts exist and that I can fiddle around to make more and more complex cutscenes - and I'm sure that it shows that this is a game made by a complete and utter newbie.
It's also not a game made for commercial release and it never will be. Because of how roleplay faceclaims work, and also because I'm no artist and no one else in our community is, I've had to cannibalize plenty of pictures on the internet and of characters from various anime shows, cartoons, etc... nor did I make any of the handful of scripts I implemented into the game. I tried crediting as many people as I can for all the pictures and assets used in this game at the end of the demo, and, as I stated before, this is solely just a friendly venture into RPG making with no commercial purposes behind it, but if you do see something which you originally made and you aren't happy about it, please inform me.
Hopefully this doesn't put off anyone, and I hope to improve as much as I can with your reviews and support!

SECTION B: STORYLINE/PLOT
Taken from the game's intro sequence.
The universe is a vast and almost limitless source of life and creation. It offers more wonders and horrors than could possibly be grasped by mere mortal life. Earth is by no means an exception to this.
Though superhumans, possessing extraordinary abilities, existed since ancient times, their deeds were shrouded with myth and legend. However, the World Wars pushed many past the brink. To fight the injustice of totalitarian regimes, the first superheroes rose in the world. After the defeat of the Axis regimes, human governments turned against these heroes, but it was too late. The light of hope had been lit.
The Superhuman Rights Act of 1979 allowed supers to come into the light of society, and many donned costumes to follow the path of the first heroes. First contact was made with alien races such as the Hadrians. Magician brotherhoods arose from the shadows, finally able to practice their art in the open. The United Nations formed the Superhero Defense Council and established the United Champions, the first superhero team on the planet. Many followed suit, establishing private teams.
One of these teams was the Wonder Warriors. Formed by six teenagers rescued from a clandestine experiment facility, it became the first team of young heroes on the planet and a spark of hope for many youths. However, with great heroes arise great villains. On the team's fifth anniversary, the Wonder Warriors were slaughtered by a team of villains known as the Reckoning.
The so-called Young Blood Massacre became a stain for the worldwide hero community. Young heroes are now a thing of the past, seen as dangerous and untrustworthy by the public. The villains responsible for the attack 19 years ago, however, have begun to stir and plot once again. Something big is about to happen that will change society forever.
And as this is happening, the abandoned base of the Wonder Warriors off the coast of San Diego, Wonder Island, is expecting visitors. After a successful school year, the students of Thomsen High, a high school promoting coexistence between supers and humans, are holding a party there. Little do they know that they shall soon take up the banner of the successor to the Wonder Warriors and carry the burden of sparking hope in their peers...
