While I agree with this I understand the reasons behind it. After all, the common sense that should tell a person that a carton of eggs might contain eggs within it didn't stop some idiot who was allergic to them from suing (and winning no less!) based on the fact that there was no warning to steer him away from said products. So now, said egg cartons contain the warning of "this product may contain eggs." fricking seriously! I also suspect that the "This product may cause severe eye irritation" warning on the cans of pepper spray that my daughter carries in her purse exist for a similar reason. People are really stupid these days and judges/lawyers are no exception, maybe at some point someone sued over emotional losses that occurred due to said spoilering, made a couple easy mil and forced the walkthrough writers to disclaim it. Either that, or they realized that if they didn't disclaim it, sooner or later it would happen. Because again, people are getting really stupid these days, especially where lawsuits are concerned.
