Am I the only one here who actually loves the Linkin Park?

Anyway, this old piece is my favourite:

The song criticizes all the people who don't care about the environment, basically it's a video that MUST open people's eyes to the catastrophic situation in which we forced the Earth to stand...

@Dalph: I'm not sure Linkin Park generally quantifies as "feel good" music... Just saying :\

OT: I'm 25ish, but call me old-school.

Also, I can't help but snicker at about half of Queen's library. And not just because of Freddie's outrageous costumes / antics during their videos & live shows (still one of the best voices ever, period).

Seriously, try keeping a straight face while listening to "Fat Bottomed Girls". It's just not possible. I'll admit - it gives me snicker-fits every time.

Maybe it's just my sadism that makes me feel good with these things...but I love tragic stuff.

I think by "feel good" it is meant that the music is "relaxing" or "calming". Not so much simply "I like this".

Because I do enjoy some good head-bashing heavy metal myself. Disturbed, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, etc. But I wouldn't qualify that as "feel good" music. Still, those bands make for some great grind music when I'm playing games and such IMO :p

EDIT: Corrected my Engrish and stuff. Bleah.

Ok, here's something that I particularly love, and that makes me feel good (in a normal way that normal people can understand):

I decided to go and actually look at my favorite song lists and pull a few out xD

Best instrumental of a rap song. Downtempo genius.

This song is the main inspiration for my game villain xD or at least I thought them up listening to it.

And tell me who doesn't love this song, and all the great memories.

And this song just makes me feel dang good, and after I first heard it I listened to it 20 times and now I can't help but sing along.

@Dalph: Must... resist... Micheal Jackson... jokes...

But no-- Quite a heart-breaker there.

@Neverward: Intriguing selection o:

As for game music...

I can't resist this at all. It's just too catchy.

Sometimes find myself humming it in my head (or out loud XD) at work or something.

Would you believe this was for a boss battle?

And this. Well, kinda...

(honestly one of the best game OSTs ever, and has way more catchy tunes as well, but this one--)

Obviously, I can't understand good feelings at all, I'm really a villain...even in real life...tsk

I've heard some really interesting music on her this morning, anyway a few of mine.

Really good feel good song from a band that rarely ever plays anything that could be in the realm of feel good music.

Pretty much anything by Kansas could be considered feel good music, that's just the effect it has. This is my favorite though. (warning, the intro is like 3 minutes long, so if you don't have time to listen to 3 minutes of instrumentals skip to 2:44)

I've only just very recently started listening to this band, my brother tried to get me into them but I resisted because I normally don't care for anything in their vein of drinking/party song tropes. However sprinkled in with the really nasty party music are some really good songs.

...and lastly pretty much the most feel-good song in my music library.

@Neverward I've never heard any of the songs you posted here before but the very first one about sunshine is just wonderful.

@Dalph I can't stand Linkin Park, I really can't. (Which is kind of weird because I don't say that about music often.) I don't think I can even really explain why, it's not any one thing that stands out to me but when I hear them it literally pisses me off. I can't even say they're bad really because I've heard several bands that sound worse that I can tolerate... but yeah, I can't stand them.

@Costic Yes, Boston! Nothing gets you in a better mood quicker than listening to Boston, Kansas, Journey and Queen. Those bands pretty much define feel-good music to me.(also I'm only 28)

@Ruby: This was a really great idea for a thread, I could sit here all day listening to other people's tastes in music and comparing them with my own.

Really like this song, makes me smile a ton. She just looks way too cheery. :D

My day was just made... I always wanted to like Thrift Shop as a person who can absolutely relate to it but it wasn't my forte, now I know a version that's listenable. More modern songs need violins in them, that is a fact.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
