Favourite from our created games? Oh, well, this will be tough, since I've released so many games by now. I might have to make a top 10 or something. Let me think for a second...
Ok, this is not in order of preference, since that'll be even harder to do. Rather I'll just separate it by games/series.
1) Hank (Snares of Ruin, my current project) - Maybe I'm a bit biased since he's the main protag from the project I am working on now, so I have to place myself in his shoes a lot, but I've been having great fun providing a myriad of moral choices and behaviours for Hank, letting players choose whether he's a professional detective or has a lip with his superiors, whether he's loyal to one woman or a swinger who goes round and cheats.
2) Gwen (Snares of Ruin) - I think she is very likeable because of how loyal and positive she is. She will stand by you even when you act like a douche, and she has a lot of that sweet innocence where she still believes in the good in other people and doesn't give up on them. I kind of modelled her character on what a healthy ENFP personality type is like (if you're familiar with Myers-Briggs, you'll know what I mean).
3) Alzyra (Snares of Ruin) - She is more than just a pretty face and a huge rack. Not only does she hide a bit of a dark secret (being a vampire), but she's way more intelligent than she seems at first. She's a scientist and she loves what she does for a living. Without giving away spoilers, part of the reason she chose to be a vampire was related to her love for science. She is quite sophisticated and knows her worth.
4) Anku (Incitement trilogy) - He was pretty much the fan favourite of the series. A robot who joins your team early in Incitement 1, trying to figure out the meaning to his existence, and ends up making close friends in the process and showing more humanity in his character than even some people are capable of.
5) Hesper (Incitement trilogy) - Anku's best friend. She's a nerdy girl who loves working with gadgets, hacking computers, and tinkering with stuff, and she was very fascinated to befriend a sentient robot at the first opportunity. She also learned to pilot ships and use a sniper rifle despite getting a nasty eye injury during work.
6) Seraphia (Incitement trilogy) - Pretty much goddess Athena but in a sci-fi setting, haha. Seraphia is a tough alien woman. She's smart and persistent, eventually becoming a general and attempting to lead the troops during a lot of difficult battles.
7) Mercury (Mercury: Cascade into Madness) - A nice girl turned vigilante. After a very traumatic experience, this sweet and innocent girl loses her mind and struggles with her inner demons, which push her to fight in order to survive, eventually turning her into a relentless killer that punishes gangsters, low lives, and other city scum. She's unhinged and unpredictable.
8) Gashrun (Atonement series) - A summoned ninja demon who is extremely obedient to his master/mistress (Elleria in the story). He's one of those silent and deadly types. No nonsense. Kill, ask questions later. A huge dedication to a sense of honour and respect for the traditions of his species.
9) Elleria (Atonement series) - A dark sorceress who went from being a full on antagonist to more of an antihero, from using others and finding it hard to trust, to making a group of close friends. Her morally grey nature is one of the main reasons why I enjoyed writing her. She's not really a hero, because she doesn't go out of her way to help others, but she doesn't cause harm to them either. Although, given the right circumstances, she has a darkness in her, that when unleashed, can be catastrophic for the world (Evil Elleria).
10) Adesard (Atonement series) - a half angel, half demon vindicator who was prophesized to end the world in vengeance for the mankind's sins. However, upon a closer look there's a hell of a lot more to him and his backstory. He was one of my favourite antagonists to write, because despite being the antagonist, he probably had more of a hero inside him than the actual protagonists of the story.
Thank you if you've read the whole thing!
