Probably the first time I ever found what I'd call a memorable quote in a video game was final fantasy tactics, paraphrased basically at the end of the first chapter, Ramza(The protagonist) says something along the line of: "When the walls that were my life came crashing down around me, I did not stay and watch them fall. Instead I turned and walked away..." That phrase set the stage for the rest of the game, one of the best stories of any video game I've ever played.

This was a really great game storywise, it's a shame the gameplay was so broken, still fun though.
