Your Favorite "Tales of" Openings & Games (animes count too)

Hello there, I was just curious as to what your favorite opening is from the "Tales of" video game series, and which game of that series.


You can also say openings from any of the animes they've done (examples: Tales of Symphonia the Animation, or Tales of Zestiria the X)


As for the games, they can include Animes, or Escort Titles (including Mobile Titles)


These are my top 5 Openings:


5: "Starry Heavens" from Tales of Symphonia


4: "Mamoritai" (White Wishes) from Tales of Graces / Tales of Graces f (I like both the original and dub)


3: "Nininsankyaku" (Three-Legged Race) from Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World


2: "Ring a Bell" from Tales of Vesperia


and 1: I have a Tie between "Kaze no Uta (Song of Wind)" from Tales of Zestiria the X, and "Burn" from Tales of Berseria


As for my favorite games would have to be, Tales of Vesperia (including the movie, "ToV The First Strike"), and Tales of Zestiria (including the anime "ToZ the X")

Favorite game for me is Abyss, though.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's what got me into the series (plus Jade was just too damn memorable), but Vesperia is a very close second.

2. Tales of Xillia (I need to get around to playing Xillia 2 and Symphonia, but my PS3 turns into a potato when I try to play them)


1. Tales of the Abyss (My first Tales Game... and favorite video game of all time)


I also need to play Zestiria but I'm too pre-occupied to do so.

It definitely has to be Tales of Symphonia for me. Not only do I love it's opening (the instrumental, Gamecube version.) but that game remains one of my all-time favorite RPGs. I'm re-playing it right now, actually!


And by contrast Dawn of the New World makes me want to deadpan stare at whoever wrote that thing. Like seriously, why'd they ruin such a beloved installment, I hate them.

I've been obsessed with Tales of Zestiria the X. They anime itself is fantastic. Great animation and fantastic cast of characters and story. 


To be honest, I haven't liked playing a Tales of game in awhile, but the animes I'll watch.

3. Tales of Vesperia (I wish the PS3 Version got released in the West...)

Yes. Yes you do. Sooo much better than the 360 version. Luckily the PS3 is regionfree.


I dont really have favorite openings, but as far as top 3 games are concerned

I really love 'Tales of' games in general. The opening to the Slyvarant arc of the Symphonia animation I've always found particularly memorizing though.

Tales of Symphonia for me. I just get this sense of a grand adventure about to begin. Plus I love the part where Lloyd is fighting the Sword Dance.

I've hardly played all of them or seen any of the animations so this is a limited response. My favorite is probably Vesperia's Opening:










Favorite of the actual tales games that I played was symphonia though.

Ah, it's so hard to pick! They're all so good!

1. "Follow the Nightingale" from Tales of Innocence (because I am a huge Kokia fan)
2. "Karma" from Tales of The Abyss
3. "Burn" from Tales of Berseria
4. "Starry Heavens" from Tales of Symphonia
5. "Kane wo Narashite" from Tales of Vesperia (even though it's my second favorite Tales game)

Right now, I'm really enjoying Tales of Berseria, but I think my absolute favorite is Tales of Symphonia.
