Soooo... what's some of your favorite video game music? Any that made you cry? Or just holds a special special place in your heart?
By the way, this can include remix/arrangement albums (or whole albums/soundtracks in general, not just individual songs). For example, I'm listening to the FF2j Credits theme from "Final Fantasy Symphonic Suite" right now. I don't think there are many other songs that have enchanted me so... well, besides the "Rebellion" theme from the same album!
I'm going to include:
Final Fantasy Symphonic Suite: Includes orchestral arrangements from FF1+2
Final Fantasy Eternal Legend of the Wind: Some nice FF3j arrangements
Final Fantasy 4 ~ Celtic Moon: FF4 remixes by Maire Breatnach... Lord they're godly
Final Fantasy 5 ~ Dear Friends: The vocal arrangement of "My Home Sweet Home" enriches the soul... funny story: I listened to it backwards once and I swear I heard "Pleeeeeeease dieeeee..." XD
Final Fantasy 6 ~ Grand Finale: These are mostly hit or miss for me, but I really like Opening ~ Tina (Terra), Gau's theme, Relm's theme, Kefka's theme, and the Imperial March
As well as the entire regular soundtracks of...
All the first six FFs (and what I heard of FF7)
Chrono Trigger (Schala *drool* ...And of course all the others, "Epilogue ~ To Good Friends" above all, stirs my soul, nearly to tears!)
Secret of Mana (Whimsical, magical; "The Legend," "Eternal Recurrence," "Eight Ringing Bells," "A Wish," "The Wings No Longer Beat," the list goes on)
Seiken Densetsu 3 (Some surprisingly heavy beats there)
Radiant Historia (most recent, there aren't MANY songs but they are all AMAZING... especially the piano remix album)
As well as just about any classic Mega Man music (NES to SNES era, some PSX X games as well). Not to mention the Rockman Complete Works remixes!
I even heard a few fan remixes of battle themes from FF5 and 6... OH MY GOSH I just remembered the Black Mages. BD Yeah they're great too, especially that 12-minute long remix of Dancing Mad.
But I've gone on long enough, what about YOU?
