1. The marketing is the same in both JP and EN, in fact, because I'm around, more than likely you guys are getting MORE information than the Eastern audience.
Yeah, they're different markets so they approach the marketing from different angles based on those markets. But to me, at least, this feels like a very eastern way of marketing that goes over well there, but not so well here. And while we may indeed may be getting more information,
it's still a laughably small amount. The marketing needs to be addressed because it's the marketing that's painting this maker in a very poor light. It may come out to be the most robust yet!...but since they didn't lead with the strengths, people are focusing and hyper analyzing what they ARE given, and since it's lackluster, the assumption is the rest of the engine will be as well, not a 'the best is yet to come' feeling.
2. You realize the only people from Degica or KDKW who are reading all these comments is me and Archeia, right? That I've been reading every single response to every single post I make. And all I can do is report to people above me, but they aren't the ones who are having to deal with vitriol every second of every day since we announced.
Doesn't that strike you as a bit lopsided, though? This is a
major software release, and they don't have anyone more than two people looking at and getting a feel for the feedback? I could be wrong and just assuming this, so let's say I am, and they are watching this. With no real change to the marketing strategy and how they're handling things, it's very telling they aren't listening to either the fans or your recomendations in the matter.
Also, vitrol doesn't demand to be responded to. Those that raise points in a civil manner should be responded to, even if it's a cursory "I wish I could tell you more to change your opinion, but I am bound by NDAs" and ignore the far more toxic and vile ones. I appreciate you are trying to address everyone, but there is only so much one can do,
especially when it looks, to an outsider, that you were kinda thrown to the wolves on this. Teaser after teaser, lackluster features shown so far, and a forum full of disappointed and upset consumers.
3. We've been very up front that we haven't shown everything yet, all I'm asking is that people wait until all the info is out before they say MZ itself isn't worth it. I didn't even say don't criticize the marketing, I said don't call MZ itself garbage when you don't even know what the new features are yet.
Yeah, the problem with telling people to wait is you've got legit (and not so legit) 'leaks' being released that are taking the place of
REAL information on the software. As I stated earlier, if this is their first impression/best foot forward...can you really blame people for casting knee-jerk reaction towards it? If this is the best that you can offer,
what is the rest going to be like??
4. Man, I'm just trying to make it through the day.
You're only human, and you're doing a decent job of it, all things considered.
