truth be told, the only thing i want at this point is more info on the particle system so i can start developing content for mz before it releases

is it known if the event system will be.. similar-ish to MV? I just learned how to do character synergy buffs (Am very new to RPG maker) Kind of using MV to test event building. Just curious if anything I learn now will be of use in MZ, or completely new setup?

Me with character RTP lol...it feels like my only projects are making custom stuff for other people.

INCREDIBLY hyper-specific and overall worthless yet very intense thought: What do the Exterior tree walls look like. They're SOOOOOOO unpleasant in MV, just these HARD blacks and repetitive evenly spaced trees and this crisp, flat shadow all the way across the bottom...DS's "less is more" approach won again with that one by making the trees tiny, but FSM truest winner by just not having tree walls at all and having a little tree trunk palette instead. Do we get a little tree trunk palette to put in front of our ugly tree walls.

Moving away from Sprite Sheets for Animations to a more Particle focused system can only be a good thing in the sense that for younger folks using RPG Maker MZ as their first foray into Game Dev, it will teach them a valuable skill as animations in other engines largely depend on particle systems.

As a Musician, even I’ve had to dabble in the likes of After Effects for animating music videos, working with particles. Learning how to do these things will certainly, at least in my opinion, be invaluable to those who choose to pursue Game Dev long term.

Looking forward to seeing the announcement soon. :)

I don't think I remember either DS's or FSM's approaches lol but I do hate VXA/MV's tree autotile.... then again I accept it because it's convenient, but do I bring myself to use it? nope.

Em-zee sounds like a local word which means someone who is eager but also annoying and kinda hysterical. Think bridezilla.
Imagine MZ being like that

From last week's trailer it does look like it will be similar, but no way to know all the new features yet.

I feel like it was briefly touched on by @Touchfuzzy that there is upcoming news re: advancements on the Event System that will be revealed in the coming weeks.

But, I could be confusing that with something else and I don’t have it in me to trawl thru the 42 pages of this thread rn to clarify haha.

I'm from the UK, "Z" always been pronounced "Zed". I know US English is different, trousers are pants, crisps are chips, etc etc but considering the language is English and I'm in England, I'm going to say the Americans are the ones getting it wrong :p

I'm feeling rough today, a bit too many last night I'd say. Still have no choice to work on Corpse Mansion. That and I got. bunch of sales last night. I was like wtf this morning, next payout is gonna be nice at least.
