needs a ton of work to improve though~

I love your characters and their clothes are really nice (which I rarely notice enough to compliment so that's good), you have a great style! Eye candy.

Those look great, not great with environmental stuff but good with sprites.
Any tips for trees as this is what I normally struggle with.

Hmmm if you struggle with the trunk there is a tip I can give you on that.
That is to never use a pencil for the details on the trunk, instead use either 1px or 2px soft brush
for the detail. It will save you the trouble of blending stuff in. At least that's how I do it.

As for the leaves, there's a bunch I could give you on that.
1. You can look at real leaves, photos and etc. That way you get a better understanding on that.
2. A good color palette(You can use the color palette I used in the picture i posted.).
3. You don't have to spend too much time on the leaves, just be random as much as you want but make sure
that it doesn't look bland and deliberately just placed in there.
4. For the details on the leaves, like the individual leaf thingy that makes it look like an actual leaf, same with
the trunk. Don't use a pencil, instead use a soft brush either 1px or 2px. That depends on how big your tree is.
5. And the best trick I could give you is this: If you use photoshop(any version). That is the DISSOLVE layer mode
This way you can get a better look on the details for the leaves. It's my own way of doing it, it was never taught in celianna's
tutorial but eh.. We all have our ways so.. yeah xD
