Yuri(lesbian) elements in games?

And the society and how it formed should be what dictates how people react, I agree, but the thing about this academy is it is a culmination of people from various galaxy's and planets and nations, so everyone that goes there would think of it differently I suppose depending on their planet, society, etc. I think that just makes for more interesting character interactions though.

This sounds neat, the idea kinda reminds me about the relationships in Mass Effect games.

Speaking about those games...I admit that I created a female Shepard time ago, and I also made her fall in love with Liara.

I think you could do that concept of yours!I just remember some games that had a lot of (or only) female protagonists and the games were good.But,the only thing to keep in mind is that some will be thinking "Only women as heros?Nah,can't be good" and thus maybe keeping away some.Although,I don't think that it'll do much.Maybe it will even make the game stand out more than the standart game,dunno.That's the thing,nobody knows unless you have released it!

I'd at least give it a shot.As we all know,don't judge a book by its cover.

... and I'm also always bothered by the overly-flaunted homosexual relationships in games. I keep my own preferences out of game creation, and just try to go with what feels right. And in this case, lesbians just felt right xD haha

This. If it's part of the story, that's one thing. If it's being shoved in my face at inappropriate times, it's quite another, and becomes offensive. Same is true of hetero romance/sexuality, honestly. There's just a time and place for those things.

I wouldn't worry too much about the opinions of the RPGMaker community.  Ultimately, you're making this game for you - and I know a LOT, and I mean a LOT, of people who will thank you from the bottom of their hearts for a game with a nonsexualized, realistic lesbian romance.  Most of them are even lesbian or bisexual women.

Yeah there will be many guys in the story, the world will have a realistic ratio, however by the nature of the story and because it fits the plot, the main characters who story we follow are girls This may put people off, like you say but... I suppose that is just the way it will be. It's my first game, and I plan to make it like I want it! I believe that if you like something enough and are passionate enough about your work then others will as well. Maybe not everyone but, I'm not trying to please everyone!

Well, I'm not worried merely curios to how people would react personally to this element in a game. I think also it is helpful to have this topic here, and I'm glad it has so many replies and opinions, to help anyone else who's also wondering something similar about their own game. I'm glad you think that people will be excited for it! I hope the game will be appealing to people of every orientation

I am also doing an LGBTQIA project, which has adult content. Our project is based on real people and a true story, but I am constantly being schooled and monitored for post content. I am very careful with wording and tagging etc, but have been outright turned down or judged for the nature of our project by artists and scripters, and by thinly veiled statements of moderators. I'm glad you have received such a positive reception with your idea. It's heart warming to see. I needed that today.
