I didn't find any major bugs, other than the game freezing up when I tried to go back into Rousseau's tent - mostly all I remember was some passability issues, which are really minor, and extremely forgivable on such heavily parallaxed maps since you have to literally mark every single square as passable or not.

I did really enjoy the game, though, I was seriously impressed with the story. It has a flavor and mood I very rarely see in games, and one that appeals to me greatly.

Hi, if you have time, would you like to make a let's play of this game? It would be very interesting to see. :)

Good lord, a 30-hour game? I don't know if I can make any promises about finishing it, but I'll certainly give it a try when I'm back to doing more LPs.

I'll be leaving later tonight to go on a camping trip until the end of the month, but when I get back, I'll look into setting that up as my next game.

No problem, there is no need to finish it. It's quite long for a complete LP. :p Thank you for considering it!

I saw you had linked a "fan game" of some sort, Mr. Detective, and while I've never really tried one (I wonder if Paradise Blue counts? Probably not), I can't say I wouldn't be up to giving it a shot sometime if you change your mind about your request.

Just got back from a big camping trip and have quite a bit to catch up on, but once I have some time, I'll get started on the LP of Casia. No promises on when it may be (basically, "When I can"), but I'll make sure to post it up here once I have.

Hi Zevia. Can you please play through my game Quincy and Amber? It's a short 15-minute demo and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Thanks!

Thank you for the LP. I'm sad to see you found the battle difficult and progression slow, but the pointers you gave in your written review are very helpful in making future games. :)

I have another game called Nothing But the Third, which is entirely different in style from Casia. I think it might be more to your liking as well, since it's quite linear and designed to be story- rather than exploration-driven. If you have the time, it would be fun to see a LP on that. I also enjoyed the guest reviewer very much, so seeing a LP from the two of you would be great. :)

Next up on my LP list, when I have the time, will be Quincy and Amber. My guest reviewer happens to really enjoy puzzle games, so I'm very much looking forward to checking it out with her while we play through it together.

After that, I'll take a look at Nothing But the Third - I can probably do that on my own time, but if you'd prefer that I wait until the two of us have a night together to play again, I can hold off on it.

You can ultimately decide yourself of course, but there's no hurry so waiting is not an issue for me. Also, it might be interesting to have the POV of both genders in the LP, especially since the protagonist of the game is a woman and there's a lot of drama between her and a male character.

Thanks for playing the game, Zevia, and your partner. I totally enjoyed your voiceovers... they were entertaining, especially when the girl (not sure if was your sister or partner) was yelling really loud, it made me laugh my butt right into the sky. I haven't worked on Quincy & Amber (not Esther... darn that title screen! ;) ) for a while, but I will certainly get back to it ASAP. I enjoy seeing two players play this game, because I like the co-op multiplayer aspect of gaming and I think it should be explored more often. Your comparison to Portal 2 (even if it wasn't a comment on the quality of the game itself) makes my heart swell, because that's one of my favourite games of all time. It was one of the biggest influences for this game, only second to Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. I'll be sure to fix the bugs you pointed out, and add to the mechanics more and more in a way that feels fun and fresh for people to enjoy together. Mainly, I just want to create a game that two people can enjoy with each other and have fun together. I hope it succeeded! Even for its measly 15 minutes (at the moment).

Bless your soul :)

Sweet, so someone finally managed to make a co-op game, and the idea behind the puzzles is simple yet great(it feels so much like the old school NES puzzle games like Gyromite, and Crystal Mines, minus the enemies, but still).

BitAbyss (the female player) has told me several times since we played last night that she really enjoyed it and has been genuinely curious when there will be more to play - she loved playing Portal 2 with me and has a special place in her heart for puzzle games (both in solving puzzles like Limbo or competitive puzzle-playing like Dr. Mario/Tetris), so I'm sure she'll be very excited when you get some time to work on it again. I'm looking forward to playing further and seeing the mechanics become more complex, myself. I wanted to know what the orbs did in your thread's screenshot previews of what you've been working on.

It's nice to play a game that executes "simple" in an entertaining way and Quincy and Amber is certainly a good example of that. Keep me posted on any updates to the project.

Hey, could you please do Let's play of my award winning game Lamia must die! ? It's basically just short story, and one boss fight done for contest. It has gotten good reviews and such though and I've only seen one LP of it.

Sure - currently I've got Nothing But The Third and Go To Sleep in my queue, but I just started a new night job, so I'm busier than I already was. I'll be happy to give it a go when I have some time, though.

Okay, it's very short, not even a hour long so it's meant for people with busy scheludes though.  :)

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
