That isn't the default font, it is one that i had the game load as the default. I have a mini script in the general resources directory that will let you change the font by a script call, or you can use

Font.default_name = ["font i want to use"]

Note that if you misspell it and don't realize it, no text will be able to be shown since the game can't find the font you told it to look for. My mini script prevents this from happening, just to be sure.

Updated the script to V 1.2.0. This update includes:

  1. Added the ability to attach items or money to mail. See usage.
  2. Mail names can now be changed. See above for details
  3. A sender's name can now be specified, and will be displayed on top of the mail. You can enable/disable this.
  4. Fixed an issue where mail with multiple pages would cut off early.
  5. Fixed players being able to return from a piece of mail before deciding whether or not to keep it.

is there anyway i can put this in the menu window? cuz I can't find that :command_something in your script and I'm stucked...

I wasn't able to finish adding it in before i have to go, but I'll finish it today. Until then, use

SceneManager.call(Scene_ZMail)

To get the mail menu open. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

In this update, you now have the option to setup the menu to let players read the mail. You can specify its name and whether or not it is enabled. great for games that have a phone and need an email system available from the menu.

is there anyway i can put this in the menu window, because I can't find that :command_something in your script and I'm stuck...

No problem. I try to add any suggestions people have for it.

I feel like the UI should be remade, but I have no idea what would be better for it, and no one has suggested anything for it thus far.

sorry for double post but i would like the abbility to activate a common event in emails, so that it would be like a message says would you like to party you press enter and common event 1 is activated which for example shows choices yes or no. A common event activated by a button which is a response to the letter. Also i would like a sent folder and a script call allows you to add emails in that folder.

That's an interesting idea. I'll see if I can get it to work.

Hi there! I love this script, it works perfectly except for one little problem.

The "Sender" box, for some reason, seems to stretch past the window and, therefore, covers the "Reread", etc... window. How would I fix this?

Could you show me a screenshot of this happening? I'm not sure what you mean, so a screenshot would be very helpful.

I will be rewriting this script when I have the time, as this was made a long time ago, and can be rewritten to be significantly neater and better. There is currently no ETA on a completion time.

I'm having a problem getting the message to show in it's menu; I have pretty much everything filled out except for the attachment (which is set to nil because I'm not really going to be using that over the course of this game but it's still a cool feature) though I'm guessing it's not showing up because I have the condition filled in wrong.

I'd like for it to only show up for actor 1 (the character currently only in the party) but everything I've tried doesn't work. I'm sure it's just something really simple and I'm really over complicating it, but could you give an example for how it's suppose to be setup, please?

Do you need to use conditions at all with this? I'm having a little trouble trying to figure out the script call to get new mail to show up too. What exactly does 'key' refer to? An example call of how to send the player a piece of mail with no attachment would be really useful. </dumb>

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
