It took me 6 retries to get the color of Yoshi I wanted. 30 mins of recording. 30 mins of voice work. Probably another 20 mins of waiting in between takes. But finally I got him...
I bought a 2 week emergency food supply. And people are already making fun of me :( I'll be fed for a bit while they go hungry when food supplies get cut(for whatever reason).

I had to cancel my order because it was too expensive. I switched it with a 72-hour kit, that should tie me over for a few weeks until I can afford the 2 week kit :/

You could build your own. Most of those are rice, canned sauces and pasta, and jerky. I personally keep some smoked meats with a really long shelf like (like 2 - 3 years) just in case, and as they get close to expiring I just eat them as a snack and replace them.

I always have a food supply.

Partly because I'm a stasher, partly because I tend to catch "Buy 6, get $1 off each" sales lol

Oh yeah, I've watched a good bit about Empress Theresa. Look up Temple OS sometime for another fun rabbit hole XD

@standardplayer I'm not saying that (I even said it was a travesty of a comic) I'm saying that because the author is not all there that Sonichu is an easy target. It's a bad comic. Absolutely. But to constantly bash something like that is too easy and feels a little like bullying imo. People took that way too far when they should have just acknowledged it was bad and moved on.

Yeah uh, I wasn't really a part of that....I never heard of Sonichu until like a year ago, I can't really help with that, bud. You could email Chris and offer your sympathies, I guess?

Bird real estate is also interesting. One room, no bed no bath? Great. We'll take it. Nice place to raise a family.

In bird real estate, a tall home with a hole barely big enough for you to get in is what everyone wants. No one wants those bird mansions.
In medieval times, a common way to eat food was upon edible plates, which were made of bread, called trenchers.

Fun fact: The trenchers weren't actually meant to be eaten by the people eating the food on them. The trenchers would be given to the poor. They would soak up the juices and fats from the meal, which would give the poor something more than just bread in terms of flavor.

Last restaurant job I held definitely pushed bread bowls for soup (although I definitely called them EdiBowls). Bugged the hell out of me when 95% of them would go uneaten. Like, wtf, why even bother ordering a bread bowl if you're not gonna eat it???

Also, online news sites will soon figure out the formula, and news"papers" will be back.
Do you ever just write or say nonsense? String together words to make a sentence that sounds pretty but is meaningless?
I'm a bit late, but Happy New Year to everyone! And to all of those who have an Asian heritage that celebrates the New Year, I wish you all get many fat red envelopes hehehe~
Pretend you were telling, reading, or listening to a very serious, slightly scary story about witches. Would a witch doing the stereotypical flying on a broomstick thing ruin the mood?

Depends on how you word it I think. Emphasize the eerie, surreal nature of an inanimate object come to life. The peculiarity of a woman in flight through means unnatural. If you can take it seriously, then it can be serious. If you cant find a way to word it that doesnt sound silly then there you go.

Also depends on the context. If it was during the night and we only saw the witch's shadow, it could change everything.

tbc, I am (of course) talking about my game, and this is the too-cute graphic I'm struggling to justify using:

Although after MCake's post, I'm kind of tempted to convert the sprite into a silhouette that zips past the screen quickly a few times with a suspense sting. That'd be cool.
I'm playing DQ:XI DE in 2d mode with the synthesized soundtrack, the only way a RPGMAKER creator should play it. :D

Oh yesss I loved seeing my husbando :kaoluv: in sprite-mode. XD I am so glad they decided to bring it over west, cause I had to play it by Japanese 3DS that way at first.

I like how seeing it in a 2D perspective helps you narrow down things if your project is on a grander scale of sorts.
:/ it really get on my nerves reading stuff about how to write a resume and they say things like "turn your failures into wins!!!" ... no interview Ive ever had cared to hear anything about my failures, and why would they :( ?

I think the main idea is that you want to comunicate what you learned from the failure experience... but most of the time, it just seems like the things I learned from them was "dont do it again." ... Im not sure I can write anything compelling from that. :/

I hate resumes\CVs with a passion. Get frustrated trying to write them. Always told you had to sell yourself, but that's not me. I don't like to pretend to be more than I am. Here's who I am, take it or leave it. It kinda feels like writing a dating profile, only you also have to list your work history. I hate writing profiles in general. lol.

They do want the learning experience from it even if it's really hard to word on a resume. Like for example it's assumed that if you procrastinate (failure) then that means you work well under pressure (win). It's still stupid though.

I myself I'm not really expressive, most people can't tell how do I feel because my face is literally always the same... But is not that bad, I can play with them, most times I say something insanely odd, like "Okay we're burning these books" and they can't tell if I'm serious or just kidding :kaoswt:

We actually did burn our books (not really. 5 or 6 pages from each book) After the *insert the baddest swear words your know* hsc exam, 5 of us friends gathered on the street in front of a friend's house and made a tiny fire and tore the pages and burned them! Muahhahahhaha *insert ugly black haired black eyed crazy creepy girl doing the yandere type maniac laugh*

Wow that's crazy... I remember some of my classmates of highschool doing that in last year... except it was in the classroom xd
